Final Destination 5 Blu-Ray Review
I honestly The Final Destination was going to be the last one, but I guess I was wrong. It turns out Final Destination 5 is actually a prequel to tie in with the whole series, but ends up being completely forgettable.
Like the other Final Destination movies it always starts off with someone having a vision of something going horribly wrong. I will say the death scenes and the special effects were great in this movie.
If you want one piece of advice though those of you who are planning to have laser eye surgery, you may not want to see this movie till maybe after youve had the surgery. Although the scene is so out there, as many of the the Final Destination stories have become lately, it's still better to watch it after any surgery. Unfortunately, the series is so predictable now. What I miss about the first one is the possibilities, the suspense, the shock, but after five films, we get it. We know what's going to happen and there is no more possibility, suspense or shock. There are some gruesome death scenes in this one that creates some intensity.
With some alternate death scenes, the other special features were that are offered include:
Visual Effects of Death: Which shows a split screen of a death scene being filmed, and the other screen as the final product.
Circle of Death: Probably the most interesting for horror fans on this disc. This documentary shows you some of the effects of the death scenes and how it all came together.
Final Destination 5 is now available on DVD, Blu-Ray, Combo Pack, and for digital download.
