Ari Zucker on Days of our Lives, Nicole Walker, family and Life Change
Arianne Zucker stars as Nicole Walker on NBC's Days of our Lives. She passed by our BLVD Hotel studios in Studio City, CA last week to talk about the reboot of Days, her daughter Isabella, and her new project, Life Change.
On Nicole: "There's EJ but that relationship is just messed up. That relationship has never had any hope from the very beginning (laughs). Somehow they keep finding their way back to each other (laughs). In all honesty, I think Nicole needs to be single for a while."
On the reboot of Days of our Lives: "I know for a lot of actors who have had longevity on Days, there's such a huge sense of family. You are just there all the time. For me it is that way because I pretty much grew up there. My 20's was spent there into my 30's, of course I am only 22 so that's weird.... I love Mrs. Clark. Mrs. Christie Clark. It's so cool that she's back."
On Isabella, her daughter with husband Kyle Lowder: "I had to pull her off set. When we had the big Horton Square, when it was first built, and I had her come to work, and she just loves the lights. Of course she does. That was doing rehearsal, so then I had to pull her off set and when the elephant doors shut, she was so mad at me. I let her play in the DiMera mansion. She didn't like the Brady pub. She wanted the DiMera mansion."
On her new project, Life Change: "Basically, the on-camera part of is it we are talking six 18-25 year olds and giving themselves the opportunity to change themselves all while volunteering to change the lives of others." (For more on Life Change, visit www.lifechangetheshow.com)
